Nostalgia. That is how I felt today while putting together a new magazine piece. I started looking through the before/afters of the Rowhouse Showdown house in Price Hill Cincinnati in which we renovated in a 6 week competition series on the FYI Network last April.
It was exhausting and frustrating but amazing and rewarding all at once. It may be the shortest amount of time I will renovate a home of that size in my lifetime and it definitely was in the worst shape of the homes that I have done but the experience was well worth it.
I can’t tell you how many times Dan and I thought about quitting but we aren’t quitters and we don’t complain….which is why we were able to complete the task of renovating the home in such a short amount of time. No team on that show could have completed those tasks without a full crew, we all needed our crews because of time constraints but with more time, Dan and I were the only team that could have completed each task on our own. We left defeated but proud! “Minnesota dream team” as Carter Oosterhouse called us.
Look at the before and after pictures, the befores speak for themselves!
